We’re inviting businesses, organizations, couples and individual Oregonians to endorse the proposal to make the second witness optional.

Businesses + Organizations

Oregon businesses and organizations can formally endorse the proposal and help demonstrate that support reaches beyond one company or community.

photographers, officiants, wedding planners, venues, florists, hotels, lodging providers, restaurants, tourism partners, hospitality businesses, local businesses and community organizations.

You do not need to work in the wedding industry to support this change. Oregon couples, former couples and individual supporters are invited to add their names to the coalition.

someone who married in Oregon, plans to marry here, values privacy and choice, supports Oregon small businesses, or simply believes this law is ready for an update.

Adding your support means you endorse the proposal to modernize ORS 106.150 by changing Oregon’s minimum marriage witness requirement from two witnesses to one.
